Mitchell Camo was issued to the United States Marine Corps beginning in 1953.


This reversible camoflage pattern cosists of the green dominant "Vine Leaf" side, and the brown dominant "Clouds/Mitchell" pattern.


Mitchell Camo fabric was used extensivly throughtout the Korean War in making Marine Shelter Halves and during the Vietnam War most commonly on helmet covers. Some experimental and private purchase garmants were made using Mitchell Camo which saw limited use with special forces units such as MACV-SOG and LLRP.
